Mineral Pools

Among the crystal clear air and endless beautiful views, it awaits a magical experience at any time of the year. A real pleasure is after a long day on the snow slopes or after a walk in the mountains to immerse yourself in the warm mineral waters of the outdoor pool. Relax with a variety of attractions (underwater massage benches, underwater massage nets, small waterfalls).

Therapeutic Pool
Situated in the medical center, the therapeutic pool is specially designed for aqua-gymnastics and hydrotherapy.
Sports-recreation programs are a great combination of traditional gymnasium training and the healing properties of mineral water. It takes most of the weight of the body, thus not burdening the joints and bones. Water resistance tones the muscles and makes their work more efficient. Aqua training is recommended as an adjunct to almost all balneal therapies.

History of the water in the village of Banya
Pure mineral springs known for ages
Banya is one of the oldest villages in the Hollow of Razlog. The Thracians were its first founders and settlers. The relics of an old Thracian settlement near the Roman Bathhouse are evidence of this. Local legends still tell stories of Roman legionnaires who after ferocious battles came here to restore their strength with the help of the therapeutic mineral water. At the beginning of the IVth century before Christ, the village fell under the sway of the Macedonian Tsar Philip II and later on of Alexander the Macedonian. During the catchment of the thermal mineral springs at the Roman Bathhouse, coins with the images of theabove two royalties were found. A settlement with a sanctuary of the Deity of Apollo built by the Macedonians in tribute to the God of Sun and the thermal water existed near the Roman Bathhouse. A stone with an inscription in the Ancient Greek language preserved to this very day is evidence of this. Our ancestors discovered the therapeutic properties of the water at this magical place. Today we proudly continue the tradition…
